If N. Korea doesn't provide more evidence that they've detonated an actual nuclear device than seismographic readings, I would say they're faking it.
One of the worst possibilities to come of this supposed nuclear test is that the apocalype-mongers would now have a way to explain their own nuclear terrorism, which would then give them a pretext for nuclear "retaliation" against those they claim provided nukes to terrorists.
