About that "fragile progress"
Topic: Perpetual warfare

What Gen. Petraeus fed Congress over the last couple of days was a series of lame excuses for continuing the self-perpetuating reign of terror in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with subtle hints that this case of Satanism on a vast scale will continue until it has accomplished its "Apocalyptic" purposes, and that nobody with any power, including any President, will try to interfere if they know what's good for them.  The concept of "fragile progress" was invented as a way to explain the choreographed nature of the large-scale violence on top of the constant low-intensity warfare against Iraqis and the majority of American soldiers in theater.

How to destroy an economy in the guise of saving it
Topic: Economics

I just thought I'd translate some banker-grade BS recently spewed at a Congressional hearing and in a subsequent Bloomberg article to effectively put lipstick on Bernanke's bailout-pig, for the benefit of those who have difficulty seeing past all the suits and financial lingo.

from Fed Signals More Rate Cuts as Officials Cite Stresses, with translations in brackets

April 4 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve officials signaled the central bank will keep lowering interest rates [hyperinflating economy] because financial markets remain distressed [worried that their gambling IOUs won't be converted into money while money is still worth something] even after the fastest reduction of borrowing costs in two decades.

Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke told lawmakers yesterday that the central bank is "ready to respond to whatever situation evolves,'' [indicating falsehood or ignorance - LaRouche has already described the endpoint of this "evolution" - a dark age] and cited "considerable stress'' in markets.  New York Fed President Timothy Geithner said policy makers must "continue to act forcefully." [hyperinflating]
[...]
"The economy is still pretty weak right here,'' said Stephen Stanley, chief U.S. economist for RBS Greenwich Capital Markets in Greenwich, Connecticut. "We do look for them to continue to be, if anything, surprisingly aggressive in easing.''  [But don't expect them to correct the underlying conditions which led to the crisis - just issue credit - money - to pay debt, giving the credit the equivalent of negative real value, thus sucking value out of the rest of the money in existence, along with everything denominated in dollars.  This is just the next phase of looting the economy.  As always, it's portrayed as a solution.]
[...]
Geithner argued that the [Bear Stearns, i.e. Exposed Rears] loan staved off a collapse of the U.S. financial system.

"Absent a forceful policy response, the consequences would be lower incomes for working families, higher borrowing costs for housing, education, and the expenses of everyday life,'' he said.  [In fact, Congress chose to go along with the British Empire and its Federal Reserve, and AVOID an actual "forceful policy response" - LaRouche's solution.  They're pretending that the only alternative to hyperinflation was to do nothing.  In the long term, the absence of LaRouche's solution will cause the aforementioned consequences, and worse.]

Former Italian finance minister describes situation succinctly, but sugar-coats motives behind bailout
Topic: Economics

from Tremonti: A New John Law Bubble Has Burst; Only a New Bretton Woods Will Work

April 1, 2008 (EIRNS)—In an interview with the Italian financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore, former Finance Minister Giulio Tremonti again advances a new Bretton Woods conference, as the only solution for the now-evident collapse of the world financial system. Tremonti, who will become economic czar of Italy if the PdL coalition of Silvio Berlusconi wins the April 13-14 elections, has electrified Italy over the recent weeks, with this proposal of Lyndon LaRouche to urgently reconstitute a fixed-exchange-rate monetary system by international agreement.

Tremonti says: "Only now have they begun to speak about losses, and only in the hundreds of billions of dollars. This is a double mistake: in the first place, it is not a matter of losses. To lose something you must own something: in the moment 'T,' you have an asset; in the moment 'T+1' you lose it. This is different: there has been no loss of what one had, but only of the fiction of what one did not have. To have a loss you must have had an asset, but if you did not have the asset,— because you never had it,— the phenomenon is different from losses. The second mistake is a quantitative one: it is not about hundreds of billions, but about trillions of dollars. [end of excerpt]

In this interview, or at least in the section quoted, Tremonti comes close but misses the point of the supposed attempt to bail out the system.  The motive is not the belief that the banks are losing money, but the lie that they have legitimate claims against the real economy, thus allowing them to convert their gambling-IOUs into money, to cause hyperinflation, and to destroy the American economy they hate.  As with the "global warming" hoax, the financial oligarchy is trying to force us to act as if its lies are truth.

This is a case for ... John Yoo!

Cheerleaders Pummel Girl For 30 Minutes In 'Animalistic' Ambush Attack, Police Say
Sheriff: 'Shocking, I've Never Seen Anything Like It'

POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- Six teen girls lured a former friend to a home and ambushed her, taking turns pounding on her face and body for 30 minutes until she was unconscious as someone videotaped the violence, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

"Shocking, I've never seen anything like it," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. "They seem to have absolutely no remorse at all. I don't understand the sheer violence."

Investigators said the victim apparently posted something against the six girls on MySpace before she was lured to the home by a phone call from teen Mercedes Nichols.

Police said the girl traveled to the house and walked into the trap.

One girl met her at the door and five others were hiding in a back room, detectives said. The girls were then seen on video pummeling the girl in the face and body and slamming her head into a wall.

As the videotape rolled, a girl's voice is heard yelling "There is only 17 seconds left; make it good."

Police said the girls wanted to post the video on YouTube and MySpace.

"'There is only 17 seconds left; make it good,'" Judd said. "That is animalistic behavior and it is pack mentality. They lured her there to beat her and beat her. They left her with a concussion. We have photographs of her with two black eyes; her nose is swollen."

The girl was taken to a hospital by ambulance and treated for a concussion, damage to her left eye and left ear, and numerous bruises, the report said.

The girl can no longer see well out of one eye and hear from one ear, Local 6 reported.

Police said two boys stood lookout outside the house during the beating.

Some of the girls accused of being involved in the attack were on a cheerleading squad at a local high school in Lakeland.

Judd said he wants the teens tried as adults, Local 6 reported.

The six girls and two boys face battery and false imprisonment charges.
==============================

Well, since the attackers were just angry about the victim posting nasty lies about them on the internet (such as that they were "meanies"), John "the end justifies the means" Yoo would conclude they were entirely justified.  However, he would probably advise them not to make video recordings in the future, and to leave no marks.

Oh, and by the way, this definitely wasn't a case of SRA, and I can prove it - they were obviously just very angry, as proven by what they were saying as they attacked her.  (It couldn't have been scripted to "explain" the attack.)  So, it was clearly NOT a case of the Satanist underground waving Satanism under our noses and mocking our obllviousness to its very existence, and it was clearly no indication of how soon they expect civilized order (so to speak) to collapse and for these sweeet young women to rejoin their loved ones.

John Yoo, "law professor," exposed as psychopath and war criminal
Topic: SRA/Prisoner abuse

"The memorandum is a disgrace, not just morally, but legally as well. In fact it's not really a legal memo at all. Its interpretations of federal statutes range from the implausible to the absurd, and it repeatedly ignores or mischaracterises well-settled supreme court precedent."

Torture memo reveals tortured legal justification for Bush regime's crimes   by Kenneth Theisen

I recommend the entire article, which is quite succinct.  But in case you don't read it, I'll cite a few of its key points:

A)  The latest torture memo to be pried from clutches of the Bush Reich states that the President, once he starts a war, can do pretty much anything to anyone he can possibly call an "illegal enemy combatant."

B)  Someone on trial for torture can claim that his motive was not sadism (i.e. Satanism), but national security.  Isn't that pretty much John Yoo's ultimate motive - to facilitate the practice of Satanism while disguising it as something necessary and therefore legal and even commendable?

C)  There are currently more than 50,000 prisoners in the reign of terror.  (Actually, three countries - Iraq, Afghanistan, and the US - are being held hostage and abused by the Cheney gang.  If Congress steps out of line, well, "the terrorists" might just strike.)

My main point as of this writing is that the memo has been kept hidden as long as it has because the those behind it know that it's a pathetic excuse for war crimes, and that they and Congress, which has no intention of holding them accountable,  have to maintain the illusion that the Constitution is something besides "a GD piece of paper" for just a little longer.

The self-perpetuating reign of terror gets boost by the US Institute of Peace
Topic: Perpetual warfare

In the wake of Gen. Odom's recommendation that we pull out of Iraq ASAP, it appears that Dark Dick has found himself a new front-group to repeat one of his favorite big lies:

"The U.S. is no closer to being able to leave Iraq than it was a year ago," it concluded. "Lasting political development could take five to 10 years of full, unconditional U.S. commitment to Iraq."
[...]
The institute's report warned that a substantial reduction of U.S. troops in Iraq risks "a complete failure of the Iraqi state, massive chaos and even genocide."

If the Americans opt for a reduced commitment, the report said, they should focus on improving political and economic development.

from Report: US no closer to Iraq goals

NATION BUILDING?!!!!  When pigs fly!  Isn't it about time to lob some nukes over in that general vicinity to make Hagee the Hut and his god happy?

Don't listen to Bernanke - watch him
Topic: Economics

As with Bush, who has methodically destroyed Iraq and our military in the name of everything that is good, Bernanke is working to destroy the economy behind a smokescreen of rhetoric which he reads from scripts provided daily by the Ministry of Truth.  There is no connection between what is happening to the economy, and what Bernanke states in public, unless you understand Minitrue's twisted code.  For economic truth, you know where to turn.

What's gotten into kids these days?

Waycross, Ga. -- A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday.

from Third-graders plotted attack on teacher, police say

It just so happens that Waycross is either on, or very close to a major ley-line.  The supposed motive, revenge for a scolding, strikes me as a cover story for whatever might have been whispering in their ears.  Something like "you want to be like Harry Potter, don't you?  Well, this is what it's gonna take in the real world."  I also wonder how many were involved in playing first-murderer video games or taking "antidepressants."

Murat Kurnaz' case fits pattern of SRA disguised as interrogation
Topic: SRA/Prisoner abuse

from Ex-Terror Detainee Says U.S. Tortured Him

At Guantanamo Kurnaz says he endured endless months of interrogations, beatings at the hands of soldiers in riot gear, and physical cruelty which included going without sleep for weeks and solitary confinement for up to a month in cells that were sealed without ventilation or were set up to punish him with extreme conditions.

"It's dark inside. No lights. And they can punish you in isolation by coldness or by the heat. They have special air conditioners over there. Very strong. They can turn it very cold or very hot," Kurnaz says.

He says it went on year after year, always the same questions about al Qaeda, and the endless effort to break his will. He heard nothing from the outside and wondered whether anyone knew that he was there.

Then, in 2004, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Guantanamo prisoners did have the right to lawyers. And to his complete surprise, one day Kurnaz was told he had a visitor. It was Baher Azmy, an American lawyer.
[...]
But far worse than the false charges was the secret government file that Azmy uncovered.

Six months after Kurnaz reached Guantanamo, U.S. military intelligence had written, "criminal investigation task force has no definite link [or] evidence of detainee having an association with al Qaeda or making any specific threat toward the U.S."

At the same time, German intelligence agents wrote their government, saying, "USA considers Murat Kurnaz’s innocence to be proven. He is to be released in approximately six to eight weeks."

But Azmy says Kurnaz was kept at Guantanamo Bay for three and a half years after this memo was written in 2002.

They kept him, Kurnaz says, by inventing new charges.
[...]
And he told 60 Minutes he wanted to visit the United States, but can't because the U.S. still considers him to be an unlawful enemy combatant. [end excerpt]

"He says it went on year after year, always the same questions about al Qaeda...."

For those who consider such "questioning" to be an indication that the US wanted the truth, I will suggest that it is actually part of a script designed to conceal what they are doing (performing SRA) from the prisoner.  It is also intended to break the prisoner's will by convincing him that his logic has no bearing on the physical world.

The fact that Kurnaz is still classified as an "unlawful enemy combatant" is just an ongoing attempt to conceal the hideous true motive for the activity at Guantanamo.  They want us to believe that they have some ultra-tip-top-secret proof ("neo-con eyes only" intelligence) that Kurnaz is guilty, but naturally cannot divulge it.

Another probable motive is to create such cases in order to outrage the Islamic world and to help keep the "war on terror" going.  Note that this doesn't mean that there IS such a thing as "Islamic terrorism."  If there were any, why would the US government have trotted out so many transparently bogus cases?  The most famous such case - 9/11 - has been thoroughly proven to have been an inside job.
